  • Bonemender Golem Solitary, Large, Construct, Skeletal
Grafted Weapons (d10+4 damage) 16 HP 4 armor
    Forceful, Reach, Near
Special Qualities: Immunity: Slashing and Piercing, Immunity: Magic Effects

Bonemender golems are beasts created from an ancient and evil clan of dwarves that lived deep within the swamps of the Whispering Marsh. Crafted through magics and rituals, the things are designed in a variety of different forms. Made of nothing but bone, they are impervious to slashing and piercing weapons. The powerful magics that create them have also left them immune to nearly all magical effects. Perhaps, worst of all, is the bonemender golems ability to place things within its chest and encase it in solid bone. It is not uncommon to see capsules fitted together with hundreds of small bones laying about the chambers of the constructs. Many of the chambers where these things dwell will be littered with bones, allowing it to replace broken limbs and bones, essentially regenerating itself. Instinct: Follow orders

    • Replace broken bones
    • Encase in bone
    • Belch forth bone shrapnel

  • Bone Marrow Worm Horde, Tiny, Devious
    Bite (d4-2 damage) 1 HP 0 armor
    Hand, Ignores Armor
    Special Qualities: Live within host

Bone marrow worms are small parasites that look like a mixture between some sort of twisted insect and an inch worm, with a sharp thorny protrusion on their head. They have six sharp pointed legs which they use to grasp onto their target, and then burrow themselves headfirst into its flesh. Once they have started burrowing into the flesh of their host, they lift their scales which creates tiny barbs that make removing them extremely difficult and painful. Once the bone marrow worm finds a suitable bone it will begin boring into it with its sharp head spike. This may take hours or even days and is excruciating. Once inside it will begin laying eggs which hatch within 3 days. The parasites will continue to breed, devour, and consume until the host is dead, at which time they remove themselves from the host body and go in search of another. Instinct: To invade, breed, feast, and infest

    • Attach themselves to a host
    • Burrow into the host's flesh and bone
    • Breed and devour

  • Gut Harvester Solitary, Medium, Terrifying
Gore With Tusks (d8+2 damage) 16 HP 1 armor
    Close, Forceful, Reach
Special Qualities: Gullet filled with gore and intestines

This beast mainly scavenges and consumes internal organs from already dead prey, but it is just as likely to go hunting for live prey as well. It uses its huge tusks to disembowel creatures, filling its over-sized gular pouch (like a pelican) with internal organs before returning to its lair to eat in peace. Giants and ogres sometimes use the beasts as 'dogs', domesticating them and using them as watch animals, hunters, and pets. In the wilds they have a more feral society. They will often fly into a rage, thrashing about with their huge tusks and front claws if they are injured. The beast is roughly the size of a mountain lion, but far more powerfully built, with a head that resembles a large snapping turtle with sharp teeth and two oversized tusks which they sharpen on stones. Its throat pouch is likely to carry the remains of rotting organs and flesh from previous meals. Instinct: to disembowel & feed

    • Pounce and gore
    • Fly into a frenzy
    • Vomit up rotting organs
