Monsters by Jikkar

  • Apple Wyrm Group, Huge, Stealthy, Divine
Teeth like swords (b[2d10+9] damage 4 piercing) 20 HP 2 armor
    Reach, Forceful, Ignores Armor

As large as the largest trees of Asgard. Skin like ironwood bark and a flame that could melt iron, indistinguishable from a mundane tree, aside from the large golden growths resembling apples that grow from their scales. While one is formidable in its own right, The Orchard where Idun rules contains numbers innumerable. Instinct: Defend immortality

    • Burn those that would encroach on the orchard.
    • Strike from the trees

  • Wyvern Solitary, Huge
Venomous stinger (b[2d10+7] damage 1 piercing) 20 HP 2 armor
    Reach, Forceful, Near
Special Qualities: Wings, elemental breath, Thick scales

A terrifying predator in its own right. These beasts have scales somewhere between that of a dragon and a moth, allowing them to fly completely silent even in the stillest of nights. While these creatures are stupid, it would be foolish to call them dumb. They tend to make their nests around paralytic and/or hallucinogenic fungi, but if the spores don't get you, then the venomous stinger the size of a mans forearm sure will. Instinct: To consume slowly

    • Paralyze with its venomous stinger
    • Carry to the nest
    • Clumsily spew an element from its mouth.

  • Fungman Horde, Small, Devious, Amorphous
Fungal grasp (d4 damage) 6 HP 1 armor
    Close, Ignores Armor
    Special Qualities: Fungal anatomy

These small humanoid beasts dwell in subterranean waterways and any other high-humidity environment. About as smart as your average goblin they can be a handful in large numbers. Thankfully so long as they have ample food and water they're usually friendly. When water is scarce they enter a dormant stage, covering themselves in a thick and durable shell. When water (or blood) become available once more they burst from these shells with all the rational and ferocity of a starving dog. Instinct: Absorb nutrients anyway it can

    • Wait for moisture before exploding forth
    • Release paralyzing spores
    • Spread to somewhere unwanted
    • Rot away clothes and supplies

  • Hydra Spawn Horde, Small
Wicked fangs (d6+2 damage) 3 HP 1 armor
    Close
    Special Qualities: Malleable form

They were beasts resembling that of a snake and of a man, but with two heads each. Some bore wings and others hooves. I thought them some sick joke of nature, until it ate my nanny goat and rammed through my barn wall. I fear to think of what they could become if they ever ate anything bigger than them. Instinct: Bring live prey to the master

    • Take on aspects of the devoured
    • Swallow a smaller creature whole
