Posessing the upper body of a human female on the lower half of a serpent, Lamia are feared by solitary travellers attempting to push through lush jungles or other tropical areas. Residing in caves for the most part, a Lamia will draw wanderers into their lairs with their enchanting songs, which can be heard from a great distance. Too late do victims notice the bloodstains on the wall of the creature's domicile - their captive immediatley enfolds them in its coils, crushes the life out of them and devours the body. Lamia also hoard anything their meal was carrying, magpie fashion - ventures into Lamia caves are profitable, if dangerous. Instinct: To devour passers-by and steal their valuables.
